Our organization, established 30 years ago, has a unique and unifying mission. We showcase gifted young talent — musicians, painters, writers and filmmakers — from the German-speaking world and introduce them to the New York cultural community. In sponsoring their performances here, the German Forum gives these young people a US debut and a helping hand in their studies and careers. And the organization offers GF members the opportunity to see and support exceptionally talented Europeans who bridge the “Atlantic divide” through their art.

The German Forum hosts four events per year, three that are open to the public and one exclusively for members. Please take the time to learn more about the German Forum. We hope to see you at our next event.


Annual Meeting and Piano Recital—Wednesday, September 15th

The German Forum presents acclaimed Swiss pianist Teo Gheorghiu. This event will take place at the residence of the Consul General of Switzerland.

Classical Music Concert—Thursday, November 4th

The German Forum will present three outstanding artists from Germany: Elisabeth Seitenberger (Clarinet); Christine Reber (Soprano); Michael von Schoenermark (Bassoon). The artists will be accompanied by Babette Hierholzer (Piano). Featured will be works by Mendelssohn-Bartholdy, Strauss, van Beethoven, Glinka.

The event will take place at the Kosciuszko Foundation Concert Hall at 15 East 65th Street between 5th & Madison Avenues.

Reception: 6:30pm
Program: 7:00pm

The donation of $25 includes two networking receptions.
Friends of German Forum members can attend for the discounted rate of $20.
